Parents walk round in ten minutes and make a decision that lasts three years. A proper covered play area is the thing they picture their child in. ### Outside stays open when it rains. Under-fives need to get outside every day, not just on dry ones. A canopy over the play area means the doors stay open in February. ### Built to take a full day of under-fives. Nursery equipment gets climbed on, sat on and rained on from opening to closing. Ours is made from solid timber in our own workshop, by joiners who will come back and look at it if anything is wrong. What we build is designed to be used every day of the year, not just in the summer term. Everything is made by our own team in Ystrad Mynach and installed by the same people who made it. There is no subcontractor, no imported flat pack and no waiting on a supplier in England. If something needs attention in three years, the people who built it are the people who answer the phone. [ What we build for nurseries ] ## Built for a full day of _under-fives._ ### Canopies and covered play A dry outdoor space the children can use every day, whatever the weather. ### Playhouses Somewhere to disappear into, and the first thing they run to in the morning. ### Sandpits Built with a lid, so it is ready to use rather than full of rain. ### Small benches and picnic tables Sized for little legs, built to take daily use. ### Climbing and slides A low climbing wall and a slide, built at a height that suits under-fives. ### Role play bays Covered bays for the trikes and ride-ons, with a fuel pump at the end. ### Indoor playsets A fire engine and fire station built into the corner of a playroom. ### Reading corners A reading tree and bench seating, so a group can sit together indoors. ### Learning panels and shapes Including our Welsh-language range, for Welsh-medium and bilingual settings, in hard-wearing two-colour Play-Tec plastic. ### Number and letter panels Numbers and letters set into the fencing, so counting happens outside as well as in. ### Planters and growing beds Raised beds at the right height for small hands, including accessible beds a wheelchair user can reach, with the edge doubling as a seat. ### Bespoke pieces If you have an idea and a space, we will come and look at it. [ Metal fabrication ] ## One contractor for the timber and _the metal_ We have our own metal fabrication and welding shop, so the metalwork that goes with a timber job is made by the same team in the same building. The bright panels, shapes, carved logos and signs you see on our shelters and play equipment are made in Play-Tec, a two-colour plastic sheet designed for outdoor use. It does not rot, splinter or need painting, the colour runs through the sheet rather than sitting on the surface, and it stands up to daily use in all weathers. Schools and nurseries often ask for it by name. [ Working in your nursery ] ## Safe hands on a _live site._ A nursery does not close for the summer, so any work has to fit around children being on site. Our installers are DBS checked. ### Installation in school holidays Yes, and it is usually our busiest time.
