Four Barns, four schools, four weeks

Over four weeks last summer we made and installed four Barn shelters at four schools. Ysgol Bro Preseli in Pembrokeshire had a Barn and a matching bike store. For Carmarthenshire County Council we then built at Bro Banw Infants, Bro Banw Junior and Ysgol Rhydaman.

Bro Banw Infants, Carmarthenshire. A Barn, plus a dragonfly bench and a set of our benches adapted to act as drain covers, which solved a problem on site for the school.
Bro Banw Junior, Carmarthenshire. A Barn, and their second from us. The first was installed several years earlier.
Ysgol Rhydaman, Carmarthenshire. A Barn, the last of the four installed that summer.

Little Einsteins Academy, Aberbargoed

Ian at Little Einsteins has commissioned several pieces of work from us over the past few years, including The Barn as an outdoor classroom, an early years play area with a slide and swings, a children's workshop, a slide and climbing area, a sandpit, and various plastic fencing and gate areas.

Chair of the Bard

Craft Wales designed and made the Chair of the Bard for the 2015 Urdd Eisteddfod.

Sirhowy Valley Country Park

Carved timber signage throughout the country park.

Blaina School

A play and planting area at Blaina, with a climbing wall and rope traverses set between raised timber beds. The ground around them was shaped and turfed, with bark and gravel laid around the planting, and a carved timber dragon sits on the grass at one end.
